COCHON HERITAGE BBQ RETURNS TO MEMPHIS FOR A SECONDS
If you have ever been to a COCHON 555 event, you know that its all about a ton of food, tasty drinks, and fun times...and you can expect all of this and more at COCHON Heritage BBQ. The first-of-its-kind national touring BBQ Competition that pits fine dining teams in the ultimate heritage breed pig BBQ cook-off while celebrating wines and brews, including special tastings in honor of National Bourbon Month. We start on Saturday by hosting a never-before-done Heritage BBQ culinary experience with some of the regions most celebrated chefs, all in the name of celebrating heritage pork and responsible agriculture. Trust us, supporting the good food movement has never tasted so good. Festivities include a Cochon approved, fine-dining BBQ experience with interactive cooking and butcher demonstrations, samplings from celebrated food artisans, and tastes of wines from family-owned wineries, craft brewers, and craft distillers.
The event is promoting forward momentum in the education of heritage breeds in agriculture and their impact in the BBQ chef community around the country. The educational core of the weekend is to provide chefs the expertise and tools to showcase whole heritage breed pigs in the BBQ fast-casual category.
